Favourite and Final website design

This design for my companys homepage is definitely my favourite, it's very white and clean cut. the type is very elegant and in my opinion it looks like a classy clothing site. The vibrant logo draws your attention and the different layers of type making up the company name is still very easily read.

Clothes Labels

(Image taken from google. Abercrombie Labels)
I like the rustic style of these labels, i think they would make the clothes look of better quality.

Shopping bag designs.

(model wearing urban outfitters image from google.)

I think i like the bag design better with just the logo though!

Billboard Designs

On this billboard design i didnt include the company name as i think the logo is strong enough for people to recognise which shop it is. Again i love the black and white image with the vibrant logo!

This homepage is simply visual, with a small 'enter' button. I really like how the logo and the company name are big and jump out of the screen.

I love this black and white homepage screen, with just the logo in colour it give quite a nice effect and i think would make people recognise the logo more. The homepage has arrow buttons to click through a selection of styles.

Website Design

I created this template myself using photoshop, I like how the logo header takes up the whole top of the page and the homepage is made up of a image split in 3.  I think this design is simple and has a professional touch to it. (Image taken from Google. Model wears Urban Outfitters)

Above i have began to look at how my logo looks when displayed on a homepage. I think the silhouette of the girls face suits the website better than the original coloured logo design. For the purposes of testing how i would like my layout i have used a template of "cult" website . (all images are cult/superdry clothing)

The competition!

I would like to design the website for my company, so i began looking at some of my competition. There  homepages are very visual. They all have large photographs and minimal text.

Pro: Three. Brand Development

I used photoshop to make my logo one block colour, I like how its zoomed in and you can still clearly tell it is an image of a womans face but i think the bright colours I used and the chalk pastel texture is still a winner!

Logo illustrations

Above are some illustrations i drew , i like the top one the best and love the colours used. I think i want to mess around with it and maybe use it as my logo!
Below i used a greek style font as Empusa is part of greek mythology. I still havnt decided however if im going to stick with the name Empusa or go with Siren!

Logo Ideas

Beautiful but Deadly - Mystical Creatures

THE SEIRENES (or Sirens) were three sea nymphs who lured sailors to their death with a bewitching song

MedusaGazing directly upon her would turn onlookers to stone.

EmpusaEmpusa was the beautiful daughter of the goddess Hecate and the spirit Mormo. She feasted on blood by seducing young men as they slept, before drinking their blood and eating their flesh. Empusa is pictured as wearing brazen slippers and bearing flaming hair.

SphinxSphinx was the most famous Mythological Creatures, sphinx is a mythical creature with a lion's body and Female Head. Sphinx, in Greek tradition, has the haunches of a lion, the wings of a great bird, and the face and breast of a woman. She is mythicised as treacherous and merciless. Those who cannot answer her riddle suffer a fate typical in such mythological stories, as they are killed and eaten by this ravenous monster.

Beautiful but Deadly

I am interested in creating a clothing company, i am going to aim the clothing at a younger audience from the ages of 16-30, a similar niche market as Urban Outfitters.  Urban Outfitters has been described as selling hip, kitschy, and ironic merchandise.

I read that Urban Outfitters aim there brand at 'Hipsters', i'd never heard of the term before...

"A hipster is a socially conscious 18-30-something who listens to indie rock and underground music, hangs out in coffee shops, combines expensive, fashionable clothing with vintage pieces found at thrift stores, and converses about books, music, films and art."

I want to create a theme for my clothing range, "beautiful but deadly", i began looking at some beautiful but deadly animals.

- Polar Bear
- Jellyfish
- Wolverine
- Cobra
- Great White Shark
- Lion
- Crocodile
- Buffalo

Beautiful but Deadly Flowers

- Daphne
- Lily of the Valley
- Angels Trumpet
